Stacey Brass is a Registered
Yoga Teacher with the Yoga Alliance, and
is a senior teacher and manager of New
York City’s Laughing Lotus Yoga Center.
Coming from a strong dance background,
her teaching style is defined by creative
sequencing with strong attention to alignment
and how the physical practice of yoga can
ultimately lead to freedom in both the
body and the mind. Her popular group classes
are infused with spirited philosophy, a
sense of humor, and eclectic and inspiring
music. Stacey specializes in one on one
instruction, with students ranging from
total beginners, to advanced practitioners
looking to deepen their experience through
individual attention. In addition, she
is highly qualified to teach therapeutic
and restorative yoga, working with people
who are recovering from injury or illness,
as well as expecting moms.
Currently Stacey teaches one of the
two 200-hour teacher trainings offered
at the Lotus College of Yoga each year
that certifies individuals to become yoga
teachers in compliance with the Yoga Alliance
National standards. This program is one
of the most well respected in the country,
and its teachers are all considered to
be experts in their fields. When she is
not teaching teachers, she practices, plays
and breathes with her most beloved teachers
Dana Flynn and Jasmine Tarkeshi of Laughing
Lotus. In addition she has completed three
advanced teacher trainings with Rodney
Yee, and has studied with Judith Lasater
and Alison West.
Stacey is currently an Ambassador for Lululemon
Athletica which will be opening
stores
in New
York City
soon!
